50 years ago (1958), a 5-1 loss at Crosley Field vs. the Braves.
Milwaukee Braves Red Schoendienst 2b Johnny Logan ss Eddie Mathews 3b Hank Aaron cf Frank Torre 1b Wes Covington lf Bob Hazle rf Del Crandall c Bob Rush p Cincinnati Johnny Temple 2b Dee Fondy rf Gus Bell cf George Crowe 1b Ed Bailey c Frank Robinson lf Don Hoak 3b Roy McMillan ss Tom Acker p WP: Bob Rush (3-1) LP: Tom Acker (0-1) HR: MIL - Johnny Logan (3), Del Crandall (3), Eddie Mathews (8). Bob Rush pitched a complete-game three-hitter to get the win for the Braves. The only hits for the Reds were a two-out triple by Frank Robinson in the second inning, and back-to-back singles by Dee Fondy and Gus Bell leading off the fourth.
