George Grande says that Auston Kearns had surgery today for bone chips in his right elbow today by Dr. K. Four large chips removes, no ligament damage...Maybe that is why he has hit so poorly...

Mid 2nd. 6 up and 6 down for the Reds so far.
A strange 1st for Volquez. Started well with 2 strikeouts. Then struggled with a double,hit by pitch and walk. Then got out of it with another strikeout. |
