Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
Bailey isn't throwing his fastball yet to this point. He is throwing hit cutter, slider, curve and change up.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
grounders early, a good sign. Homer needs to locate his fastball and keep the ball down to be successful(which pretty much goes for most every pitcher). It something he has struggled with in the past.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
Janish supposedly made a very nice play ranging far to his right on Jenkins to end the inning, according to Marty and Hal on the radio.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
I have a feeling that his 'changeup' is most likely his cut fastball.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
Master of the Obvious Alert - Bailey is better than Josh Fogg. May as well DFA Fogg when his "back" gets better.
Janish is a great defensive player too. |

Jenkins grounds out. Bailey just 18 pitches through 2.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
I am work so I am kind of half following this but it looks like Homer is off to an impressive start with his pitch efficiency. He is through 2 on only 18 pitches and 13 of those have been strikes.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
It looks like Janish can handle lefties pretty well. He went 3-for-3 off Cliff Lee and doubled in his first atbat against Hamels today.
And we know he can play some defense.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
That was a beautiful play by Janish. He made that look seamless. If Jeter had done that, it would be the number one web-gem.

Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
Yes, it was so. Janish is a very elegant fielder. Perfect throw, chest high despite throwing off balance.
