Not exactly the minors, but I saw that Alonzo is 0-2 with 2Ks so far in Omaha. Hopefully he's just saving his big hits for when he gets paid for them.

Neftali Soto homers for Billings....they lead 2-1

Soto (playing 3B).....2-2 HR
Buchholz (playing 2B)....1-1

He has had a ton of big hits in the playoffs so far. He can have an off night once in a while.

It does look as if his team will be eliminated tonight though. Time to start the negotiations.

I was just about to post that. Nice to see the kid off to a nice start. He's 2-for-6 so far with a walk and HBP in two games.

Stiffler: 1-for-2 walk
Brown: 1-for-2 homerun
Buchholz: 2-for-2
Wideman: 0-for-1 walk

Miami lost 8-3. The Reds can now begin negotiations with Yonder Alonso.

Alonso finished his college career with a 2-for-5 effort with one of those hits being a double off the wall.
