Are there cirumstances in which you think the Reds should bring back WMP?

Wily Mo and the Nats have mutual options for 09- $2 mil if WMP exercises and $5 mil if the Nats do. If he does not go back, should the Reds look to bring him back?

No walk rate. No on-base percentage. No defense. No interest.

I'd rather see Reggie Taylor back

Despite some of Arroyo's inconsistencies, it's pretty comical to read this thread now:

But he can hit the ball really hard. Let's bring him back.

Not.

I like his name, but they can keep his bat, glove and salary.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd love the gamble of bringing back Willy Mo. He a RH slugger who always plays better given more time. He's still relatively young and could blossom. The talent is still there.

As a RF, Pena could be a treat.

Understand, I'd have a pretty solid back-up plan in place should he fail miserably.

If it means never seeing Corey Patterson again (and/or never seeing Patterson/Janish as the first two hitters in the lineup)... sign me up.

Honestly, we could do worse for a backup OF and we obviously need guys who can hit LH pitching. Next year I would be on board with it. Wily Mo is going to have one good year in MLB eventually. OK maybe not. But again, if it means no Corey Patterson I would do it right now. Maybe dumb Bowden would have flashbacks to Patterson's days as a top prospect and would do the trade.

Why do we need Pena? We could just call up Juan Fransisco....
