Re: Sunday June 22nd Minor League Game Updates

What the heck is up with Eymann? He's gone from a non-prospect to, well, a borderline prospect. I really don't mean to rag on the guy--it seems like he's improved much more than the majority of players do. Most minor leaguers with the start his career has had have retired by now. It will be interesting to see if he fills out a little more because he's hitting a lot of doubles that could become homeruns. It'd be nice to see him be a little more patient at the plate, but if he continue to hit .306, that isn't much of an issue.

Nefi Soto doubles in his first atbat today. He now has an extra-base hit in five straight games and seven XBH in 24 atbats.

Buchholz tripled to score Soto.

Man, Sam Lecure has looked really good as of late. Sure is encouraging.

And Soto is on fire. Does anyone think he'll be moved up if he keeps going at this pace? Or will he play all year in rookie? Its not like the PR is the DR or anything, so assimilation to the states shouldnt' be as much of an issue as it is with other guys.

Bats are tied 2-2 in the 7th

R. Ramirez' line: 5 IP, 5 hits, 2 runs, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 K
Mallet must have been a late scratch

Herrera is now in to pitch.

Is Soto definitely a 3b when he gets to the Reds?

Sam Lecure over his last 9 starts:

IP - 52.7
H - 41
BB - 15
K - 53
ERA - 2.22
WHIP - 1.06

Not too shabby at all.

Re: Sunday June 22nd Minor League Game Updates

Age, and where he is from were probably the main factors in the decision Superdude..

Although with the way he's playin, I think he'll get the call sooner rather than later. At least I hope.
