So proud I could spit!!!!

Mods, I have been a member here for the ages, and maybe this topic is NOT proper, but please indulge a proud Grandpa.....

Two of my oldest grandsons are now playing baseball. This, both made their respective All-Star teams. One grandson is 9 playing in a 10-12 year old league and the other is 8 playing in 8 and younger league. Anyway, I have a link to a google page containing pictures of my grandson Alan playing in one of his All-Star tournaments.

http://lucimurs.googlepages.com/home

If this is a bad thing to do (I looked for another board) then please just move this Mods.....but I would like some of you to see a future 1st round draft choice.

P.S. Alan is a strident Dodger fan, just like his father.

I'm gonna have to lock the thread since he's a Dodgers fan.

Seriously though, congrats on all counts pal.

Re: So proud I could spit!!!!

Congratulations on being a proud grandpa, RILA. Fantastic. I was just as proud of my son when he played the greatest game in the world. Guess I've got awhile before I have grandkids playing (I got a late start).

Now, this Dodger thing. Surely there is some therapy that would help him with that.

Re: So proud I could spit!!!!

It's a matter of opportunity......

His father was born and raised in LA....thus....blue.....

Actually, my other grandson is an Angels fan. I feel like a failure.....

Re: So proud I could spit!!!!

Congrats. The love of baseball deosn't have to end with, or even begin with, the major leagues. I've received a lot more pleasure watching my sons play than I have watching the Reds.

He is the oldest of 7. He likes dodger-dogs and playing toss with his younger brother.

Is that the peripherals you mean?

Re: So proud I could spit!!!!

I told this to both of their fathers (my son and one of my sons-in-law). When the first scout calls, just remind them that I am their grandpa......retirement.

Ahem!! And you referenced me being old for having seen Armstrong pitch, clearly here with such beautiful grandchildren you could boast having seen Honest Wagner and Ty Cobb play in person yourself.

Hey congratulations there grandpa, great pictures of the future superstar, he has that look of a winner.
