Aguido Gonzalez
Who is Aguido Gonzalez? He's a 21-year old lefty listed at 5'10" and 185 pounds and currently pitches for Billings. He was signed by the Reds on May 3rd of 2007 out of Maracay, Venezuela. The reason I bring him up is because he's putting up some gaudy numbers in the hitter friendly Pioneer League. I have no idea what type of pitches he throws or how hard he throws them but he's obviously doing something right to put up numbers like he is right now. Check out his current numbers with Billings:
11.1 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 4 BB/21 K, 17.0 K/9 Those are some eye-popping numbers so far. I just thought I would bring him up as someone to keep an eye on down the road.

Re: Aguido Gonzalez
Here's my scouting report. So far so good.
![]() He turns 22 in September. He's a short (5'10, 180 lbs.) lefthander. Current updated stats: 10 games, 12.1 innings pitched, 5 hits allowed, 23 K's, 5 BB's, 0 runs or earned runs, .125 opponent batting average, 2-0 with 4 saves. Nearly 2 K's per inning. Wow.
