Gonzalez got injured.
Hamilton got traded.
Bako got played.

I think those would be the main reasons.

Bako played too much.
Ross played too much.
Valentin played too much.
Patterson played way way waaaaaay too much.
Dunn got traded.
Keppinger came back to Earth.
B. Phillips proved to not be all that.

If it wasn't for complete thievery to acquire parts like Phillips, Harang, EdE and Hamilton = Volquez this franchise would easily have been a 100-game loser from 2007-2009+
