Carlos Fisher

I have seen that he is doing well in AAA, and didn't do too bad in AA. Can anyone give me a scouting report on him?

Here is a scouting report from last year:

Quote:
Fisher features a 91-93 mph two seam fastball with heavy sink, a cut fastball, a hard slider, and a changeup. However, his best pitch is his sinking fastball, as it generates a lot of groundballs, which is his biggest asset.

Re: Carlos Fisher

Sounds like someone that we could use.

We could, but he is not on the 40 man roster at this point. He cannot be a September callup this year. He has been impressive enough at AAA that I expect the Reds will place him on the 40 man roster in the off-season.

Still seems fairly accurate. He relies more on the FB and cutter than he did as a starter, but you have to love a guy getting over 60% ground balls and striking out over 20% of the batters he sees.

The Arizona Fall League rosters were announced. The Reds are sending right-hander Carlos Fisher to play for the Peoria Javelinas.
A good sign for next year.
