Who To Start

I have to pick two of these running back matchups:

Ernest Graham at NO
Selvin Young @ OAK
Willie Parker vs. HOU
Chris Perry at BAL
Ray Rice vs. CIN

My gut is to go with Willie Parker, but I'm torn with Young and Graham.

Any help here?

Re: Who To Start

We only count yardage and TDs. 1 point for every 10 yards rushing and 6 points for TDs.

Receiving yards are scored the same.

Re: Who To Start

I would say Parker, Graham then Perry as these three getting the bulk of the carries/touches for their respective team.

Re: Who To Start

Thanks, Hot Corner. I think I agree with you here. I don't trust Shannahan enough to start Selvin Young.

Re: Who To Start

I've got Graham and I'm going to start him in my league this week (only because I'm not going to put the rookie Forte in immediately).

The watch with Graham (as you probably know living in Tampa) is that he'll lose carries quickly to Dunn and Bennett if he starts off slowly.

I just....absoloutely hate my RB situation.

Price I pay for taking Brees, Randy Moss, and TJ beofre taking a running back.

Yup -- I went Brady in r1 and Wayne in r2.

My RB situation sucks something fierce as well:

Reggie Bush
Earnest Graham
Matt Forte
Chris Johnson
Justin Fargas

I think you have to go with Bush and Graham for week #1. I love Chris Johnson, but I want to see how the Titans work him in in week 1 before I'd play him, especially as a RB2.

Forte has nothing protecting him from defenses playing 8 or 9 people in the box. I have him as a RB2 in one of my leagues, but that league is PPR and I can start 4 WRs and they are Edwards, Colston, Boldin, and Calvin Johnson

I'd go with Parker and Graham as well. I think Young has a chance to be really good this year, but you can say that about every supposed starter in Denver.

Re: Who To Start

Thanks everyone.

I think the plan is to ride Parker through September until one of th eother backs emerges.

I'm really tempted to play Rice vs. the Bengals, but I don't have the guts.

Re: Who To Start

Play Selvin! Denver will not be able to throw the ball against OAK and the raiders have a porous run defense. The saints will score quickly and force TB to throw a lot.

I'm voting Parker and Young

IMO
good luck

Re: Who To Start

Yeah, I know. If you look at the rannkings this week, everyone says Young, but 15 carries just isn't very attractive.

Mike Shannahan is the devil, though he is proving to be a soothsayer as lots of teams are copying the strategy.

I'm voting for a RB3 position in our league next year, or at least a flex.
