The fact that Interleague play is on the schedule at all makes think the schedule is odd.

There's a time for Interleague play...it's called the World Series.

2009 will make 4 years in a row that all of the Reds' series at Houston are on weekdays.

Curiously, they don't even face Houston in September.

I've got my eyes on the Reds @ Padres series May 15-17 for next year's trip. The Dodgers also have a home series that starts on May 18. It may not be a bad trip to see all three Reds @ Padres games over the weekend, then hit up a Dodgers game in Chavez Ravine the following Monday.

I think the odds of bad weather canceling games is greater on March 30 than it is on November 5. Although I can't wait for baseball to get started every spring, I like the later start date.

Thanks for this. I can see the schedule better now. That 10 game road trip in April to Milwaukee, Houston and Chicago could make or break the season. Have a great trip and it could help propel the Reds to a good season or at least five us fans some hope. A really bad trip and we will be counting the days to the end of the season.
Also three separate trips to California.

The way Arroyo has pitched in the second half (better then Volquez), and if he can end up equaling Volquez' win total... then couldn't Bronson get the OD nod?

Reds @ Nats June 9th - 11th, and then Braves @ Orioles June 12th - 14th?

Why the heck not?
