Pullin' for Junior Griffey

I personally would love to see him get a ring. I've always been a huge fan of Griffey and I feel he's paid his dues and should have a championship before he retires. Although I'm sure it may mean a little more if you spend the entire season with the team, a player as great as he is deserves it.

Ditto.

It's not that I'll pull against Jr. And the ChiSox/Twinkies will go out first round anyway.

Chicago can be tough if they get hot bats early. Plus more Chicago baseball means more Ozzie Guillen sound bites. That's gotta be appealing so some people out there.

I want the BoSox to win it to be truthful. I want Sean Casey and Paul Byrd to get a ring.

I'm just so glad we don't have to watch him hit 3rd anymore in our lineup. I mean look at his numbers. No wonder we weren't winning games.

Also do you guys really think this is the end of his career?

Re: Pullin' for Junior Griffey

I think the White Sox may try to resign him....minus the 16 mil option of course....either that or he goes to Tampa(his residents) as a DH...sad, but i dont think there are alot of teams who want him...

I agree. If he doesn't re-sign with the ChiSox I can see him being a late sign by a team scrambling for a veteran bat to fill the gap between next season and a prospect on the rise.

Baseball tonight getting on Griffey not getting to a ball in CF saying (paraphrasing) he should own up to not being able to cover ground in CF and move to RF or LF.
