We attended the game when they wore this jersey. This was the Daryl Thompson crash and burn game Part II or III. Good cause the guys were involved in.

Why do they feel they need to make these one time uni's the uglies thing they can possibly make it, but then hope to sell it? The Durham Bulls do several each year, and are always so ugly and tacky no one wants to bid on them, so they dont make the money they are doing this for. I did buy one a few years ago, a game used signed jersey of some kid named Longoria, said he might be good one day....

Its sitting in a bookcase in my sports room along with a pic of us together (*I am weraing a Reds jersey that Kitty gave me) and a ball he signed for me afterwards. I lucked out-his best friend from high school was visiting him in Durham that week and introduced me when I won the jersey-got to have some drinks with them after the game as well when I met him. I paid a lil more then I wanted, but had a feeling it was worth it. So curious to find what it may be worth now.....

I am a big time game used collector when it comes to Reds items, and these specialty jerseys even at some of the low levels go for big bucks. Have to agree with you the difference between minor league specialty jerseys and majors is the quality. Some look disastrous while some are almost t-shirt aulity level.

The sale of regular uniforms done by some clubs at the end of the season (not all) is where some serious cash is made.

I went on-line to the Louisville store site to check out what they had. I saw a tee shirt I liked with the Bats logo on it, $15 bucks. I go through the process of ordering the shirt and get to the end and have to select a method of delivery. The cheapest available method is two day FedEx for $11.50! That is almost what the shirt itself costs. I couldn't pull the trigger and canceled. Whatever happened to USPS slug mail for cheap...
