Palmer to have surgery?

While it is just a rumor at this point, this is pretty scary. I have heard this rumor a couple of times now.

Re: Palmer to have surgery?

I'm pretty sure this is true. He was my first round draft pick in one of my fantasy leagues. This has happened to me every year for the past four years (but usually it's before the third week).

Re: Palmer to have surgery?

Isn't Anthony Wright a free agent? He was decent in the backup role for Palmer a couple years ago and the we are running the same offense.

Might need to start looking at other options if this is more serious than we think.

OK, Mike Florio is on a local show here once or twice a week and 95% of what comes out of his pie hole never happens. That website like to throw alot against the wall and see what sticks.

Its rumors, but to say nothing he ever says happens is wrong.

Re: Palmer to have surgery?

it might actually be a good thing to shelve carson for the rest of the season. avoid getting him killed and ensure that the bungles will get the #1 draft pick in next years draft.

why get carson killed for a season that is down the toilet anyway? i say have the surgery

No surgery, but he might not be ready for next week.

I draft a quarterback early every year and I am usually near the top of the league. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Re: Palmer to have surgery?

If Palmer really did need Tommy John, there is no way he would be able to play. The football would simply go no where. I don't think this is something you can simply play through.

In leagues with standard scoring systems, this is usually true, but it's a weird point system that makes quarterbacks very valuable. Besides, what if I drafted Tom Brady with my first pick last year?

then you would have been very fortunate.

wacky scoring systems could certainly make a difference.

most 'experts' agree that qb production is consistent enough league-wide to make drafting a qb in the 1st rd a bad idea (unless maybe you have the last pick in the 1st rd)
