Championship Crip Sheet
Since the Phillies won their second championship in over 125 years I was pondering other teams championships or lack of, the sheet below is sorted by teams that have won Championships since the American league became legit.
Column One is World Championships won, column 2 is Pre 1903 Championships if they apply, column three is the years of existence, the final numbers are the last time the team won it all and the last time they appeared in the World Series. The Cubs still look sadder than anyone else. Code:
WS Pre Years WSW WSA 26 0 107 New York Yankees 2000 - 2003 10 4 127 St. Louis Cardinals 2006 9 0 107 Oakland Athletics 1989 - 1990 7 0 107 Boston Red Sox 2007 6 0 127 Los Angeles Dodgers 1988 5 1 127 Cincinnati Reds 1990 5 0 127 Pittsburgh Pirates 1979 5 3 126 San Francisco Giants 1954 - 1989 4 0 107 Detroit Tigers 1984 - 2006 3 7 133 Atlanta Braves 1997 - 1999 3 0 107 Baltimore Orioles 1983 3 0 107 Chicago White Sox 2005 3 0 107 Minnesota Twins 1991 2 0 32 Toronto Blue Jays 1993 2 0 47 New York Mets 1986 - 2000 2 0 107 Cleveland Indians 1948 - 1997 2 0 16 Florida Marlins 2003 2 6 133 Chicago Cubs 1908 - 1945 2 0 126 Philadelphia Phillies 2008 1 0 11 Arizona Diamondbacks 2001 1 0 40 Kansas City Royals 1985 1 0 48 Angels of Anaheim 2002 0 0 16 Colorado Rockies - 2007 0 0 47 Houston Astros - 2005 0 0 40 Milwaukee Brewers - 1982 0 0 40 San Diego Padres - 1998 0 0 32 Seattle Mariners 0 0 11 Tampa Bay Rays - 2008 0 0 48 Texas Rangers 0 0 40 Washington Nationals |

Re: Championship Crip Sheet
So now the Mariners, Nationals, and Rangers are the only teams to have never won a pennant. I still can't believe the Mariners never won a pennant with all that talent they had in the 90's - Ken Griffey Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Edgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, and Randy Johnson. That's four Hall of Famers plus another great hitter. Not to mention other solid players like Paul Sorrento, Tino Martinez, Jeff Nelson, Dan Wilson, Jamie Moyer, and Jeff Fassero.
