Free Agents Available via Sporting News Today

It looks like the Sporting News Today is beginning to do write ups on the available Free Agents.

See Page 36 for catcher write up today

Just say no to any FA catchers, unless they are a bargain and are willing to be a backup behind Hanigan. Hanigan could do no worse than any of those, and has proven enough to me, in the minors and majors, that he will hit atleast .250, but provide good defense and good game calling. That is equal to anything we would pick up and waste money on.

You don't need a stud catcher to win the world series. See Joe Oliver.

yep a platoon with bard, olivo, etc would work.

Just look at the Phillies this year

All they had was Carlos Ruiz and Chris Coste
