Improvisational Comedy Clubs?

If you are ever in the Fort Worth area, I highly suggest you try the Four Day Weekend Comedy Club. I have only attended the 10:00 shows which are for 18 years and older audiences, but they also have an earlier show for the family with younger kids.

We went to one in St. Louis in 2007, and it was pretty poor. I don't remember the name, but it was upstairs in a large mall near the Scottrade Center. There might be some good ones in that town, but I'd stay away from any that perform upstairs in malls.

How about other towns? Any suggetions? Any warnings?

Re: Improvisational Comedy Clubs?

In Los Angeles the best theatres to catch improvised shows are at the Groundlings and the Upright Citizens Brigade. They are both hard R's (and hilarious) but Groundlings is more "upscale" and accessible to new fans while UCB is more underground/guerilla and appeals to a younger, raunchier crowd. I highly recommend both.

Also the nature of improv is that there will be the occasional dud show so don't give up on the mall-prov yet!

Atlanta has Dad's Garage.

Haven't been in a few years, but good stuff...

What about in Cincinnati? I plan to pass through there this summer on my way to visit relatives in Massachusetts.
