This is going to be ugly. I just received a message from the Bengals:

I won't be doing a play-by-play, but after a couple possessions, I'll say this. The Bengals' defense is looking solid, and the offense looks like, well . . . it looks like they're trying. If they're going to get anywhere, it looks like it's going to be three- and four-yard dump passes at a time.

Glenn Holt just caught a touchdown pass. Fitzpatrick really threaded a needle for that one.

Great start by Fitzpatrick. They are concentrating on quick short passes with the inexperiened OL and he is 7 for 8 passing so far and ends the drive with the 10 yard TD pass to Holt.

The Steelers have a big return and a pass for a first down to put them at the Bengals 42.

The first quarter is over. The Bengals have 3rd and 3 on their 24 yard line.

Despite not having Levi Jones and Andrew Whitworth, the left side of the line is actually doing a pretty good job so far.
