Rosales at Third

Okay, I was thinking about Fay's most recent blog. If Edwin is to be traded, who takes his place? We have a lot of depth at third in the minors, but none of it is really close. We could also make a trade for someone like Beltre, but would Walt really be willing to give up the talent it would take to get Beltre? I finally came round to Adam Rosales. It might very well be the Reds would make the Edwin trade with the intention of seeing how Rosales does at third, at least until there is a better option at third. Tell me what all of you think. I really think Baker should have given Rosales more playing time last year.

Re: Rosales at Third

I think Keppinger is probably at the front of the line if Gonzalez is playing. But Rosales is probably #2. He strikes me as a poor man's Aaron Boone -- take that for what you will.

Re: Rosales at Third

I think that regardless of what they do with Edwin or the situation at SS, Adam should get some time. I like his bat AND his glove. That whole thing with Dusty last year really ticked me off. I was screaming for him to put Rosales in but we kept seeing Andy Phillips and even freaking JAVY in there. He never really got a fair shot last year. I hope he rips the cover off the ball in ST and forces Bakers' hand this season.
