Unless Phelps suddenly decided to pluck his eyebrows religiously and then grow a completely different nose, that's not him.

The article states that Phelps agent/management pleaded for the picture not to be released...I'll admit that if I looked at that picture unknowing, I'll never suggest/think it was Phelps...but what person/corporation would knowingly and fraudulently go after Phelps like this in this manner. I'm guessing there is other evidence.

Deadspin is all over this...this is going to have to get some media play now.

I appreciate Phelps tackling this head-on and not going the route of "I didn't inhale" or "It was hookah".

He's the big loser in all of this. He cost himself millions in endorsements and my guess is it might void some of his already signed deals. For a swimmer, it's not like he can go out and still keep making money on the field like other athletes. His window of opportunity to cash in is much shorter and he might have just closed it. Too bad.

Exactly MWM...as I said...big deal that he toked. But face it...he probably was the most beloved person in America (there was really nothing polarizing about him) before this happened (and depending on the media exposure this gets...he still may be) For him to do such a thing is/was beyond foolish.
