I'm going to Spring Training!
I found out today that my dad and I along with three others are going to Spring Training next month. We'll be attending the March 8th game vs Toronto, March 9th at Philly, and March 10th at the Yankees and then we'll fly back home on Wednesday March 11th. I'm pumped! This will be the first time I've ever been to Spring Training. I've always wanted to go and now I finally get to. This will also be the first time flying.
I can't even begin to describe how excited I am about this trip. I guess the only downside is I won't get a chance to see some of the stars like Cueto, Volquez, and Votto since they're all participating in the World Baseball Classic. Anyone else going?

I'm going with my dad and brother, not sure of the week as of yet. I went in 2007 and had the time of my life, the weather was beautiful and I had no reason to be negative since the real games hadn't started yet

Awesome, OBM, have a great time! I went with two buddies back in '92 and had a blast. Really have no idea why I haven't been back since then.

I'm going but not to see the the Reds . I live here in Florida and went to several Reds games all over and not just Sarasota. I feel cheated by the Reds for leaving Florida especially when I feel it was a rush job that coulda been worked out. But as John Allen said "we'll make new fans". It felt like he was saying to hell with you fans who did attend and support us through the years in Florida but to bad we're leaving. To me its just another bad decision on Casts part as he's made many.
As for you guys out west I am glad that you can go to Spring Training and see the Reds as Arizona is a great place and I've been out there many times and sometimes wish I could stay.I've got to wonder though if the city of Goodyear is regretting this deal now that the country is in a fincial crunch. I am still and will always be a Reds fan because I was here long before guys like Allen,Cast and Jocketty came along. Just venting some frustration.
