Good. I like Benson, especially at the right price. Eric G. is not a good player, and not someone I want to see on this team going forward.

I hope they put the money out to either sign or draft a good center.
Losing Braham to injury / retirement was a huge loss.

Mehhhh, this is a move only perpetuated by the fact we haven't found a replacement for Corey Dillon since he left.

I think Rudi was very good when Corey left.

I really believe that we will draft one in the 2nd or 3rd round. I think Eric Wood from Louisville might be the guy they take. He seems to have that power and tenacity you look for in a AFC North Center. Plus it doesn't hurt that he's a Bengals Fan IIRC, born and raised in the Nati' also I believe.

Re: per Rotoworld:Bengals are talking to Benson, not Girlcheck

First player ever drafted by this team was a C.....who would have been a bigger name and a yearly Pro Bowler....if not for Otto and then Jim Langer.

They could have taken Dwight Stephenson back in 1980 in the 3rd round and I was hoping they would have but they felt Blair Bush was fine but then got the steroid pumped up Dave Remington ...in the 1st round of 1983??

With Darrell Green and Dan Marino taken a couple of rounds later ....i was ticked off. Nebraska lineman with the exception of maybe what 1 or 2 of them....were always overrated.

Now they need to fix this and quit hoping that some undrafted rookie or some late rounder is going to suffice. Not in this division. They need a leader at C....and IMO only a FA with good experience will do.
