Hello everyone. I am the new commissioner for a NL only dynasty league that is in it's second season on Yahoo. This is a 5x5 standard league.

We have ten slots, of which six (so far) have re-upped from last year. Right now three teams are available, and I will know about the fourth team soon.

I am going to post the final rosters of these three available teams from last year, and if you are interested in adopting one of them, PM me. I will then PM you back with sign up info.

We plan to draft new NL players soon, and of course you can drop any players on your roster that are now in the AL.

More details:

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, IF, 3 OF, 2UT, 2SP, 2RP, 4P, 8BN, 2DL.

It is a dynasty league, so you keep everyone on your roster. You can release anyone you want, or who switches to the AL or is released by their team.

We are waiting to get managers for the last 4 teams, then we will start a slow off line draft. I think we will do 8 hours per pick, and post the picks on the Yahoo league message board. There won't be too many rounds, since everyone will start with 20+ players already.

It has also been suggested that we do this year's draft in the reverse order of finish from last year. I think this is a good idea, similar to the way the actual MLB draft works. I think we should do that, unless there are major objections. I will publish last year's order of finish later.

'Redsfandan' has joined and taken team #4. There are now only two teams left...help recruit your RedsZone friends. If we go another week without getting these teams taken, I am going to make the league public on Yahoo for anyone join.

NL only fantasy baseball is fun because you have to go deep into the NL to get your players. You use almost all the starting players, and real understanding of who will get playing time makes a big difference. This league is for true fans. In a mixed league, only the top 50% of the players will be drafted. But in this league, you need to really know deeper information....especially since it is a dynasty league, and you will use many of the same guys year after year....Join Now!

Draft Order for Slow Draft

1. m$b
2. NJ Red Machine
3. New York Knights

6. Efrat invaders
7. Montana Reds

10. The Basecloggers

This draft order is in reverse order of the Year 1 dynasty standings. Only players that are new to the NL or were not on someone's roster at the end of last year will be available in the Yahoo player pool. Also, anyone who had someone who went to the AL over the off-season loses that player....(I lost Ty Wigginton and Cesar Isturis....).

I propose we start the slow draft on Thursday at 6:00 pm eastern time. When it is your turn, you will have a maximum of 8 hours to post your pick on the Yahoo league message board. This will be a snake draft situation, so if you pick last, you get first pick in the second round. In other words, the even numbered rounds are in the opposite order of the list above.

I expect that we will only go 4 or 5 rounds, since most everyone has 20 or more players already on their roster.

Please post any questions or suggestions. I am open to any other ideas on the draft as well....
