Re: Mesoraco
Because HS catchers are usually just impact draft picks, right?

Re: Mesoraco
I just looked at some of his posts. He probably won't be here much longer.

Re: Mesoraco
I'm not surprised that you quoted the NarrowStairs post from the SunDeck camisadelgolf. I had to laugh when he first posted it a few days ago.
While I'm not nearly as knowledgeable about our prospects (and other minor league prospects) as dougdirt & camisadelgolf my impression is that: 1) catchers usually take longer to develop and refine the skills they'll need to reach the majors, 2) Mesoraco is still very young (only 20), and 3) Mesoraco still has the ability to eventually become at least a decent major league starting catcher. Alot of 1st round picks don't pan out so it's easy to second guess who should have been taken instead but I think it's way too premature to write Mesoraco off just yet.

Re: Mesoraco
Also, I think that Mesoraco was injured for at least part of last season which probably contributed to his lackluster season hitting stats.

Re: Mesoraco
Mes is a 6 year farm guy and then you see the return on him. In no way was I ever expectinghim to be 4 yrs in minors and then MLB. the position is extremely hard to find talent at thus it comes down to patience.

Re: Mesoraco
This thread isn't serving any purpose and I'm not going to keep it open so we can all express our displeasure with NarrowStairs.
