I've been to Lone Jack to a game or two back in the day. The only seats in the gym were behind the goals,IIRC?

Re: A perfect example of Kentucky basketball

Does anyone know when/where Scott County plays their regional games?

What region is Scott County, WMR? 8? If so, I think it's Henry County.

I'm still in the old Region mindset, Javy. I'm not sure.

You're exactly right! Definitely a small world.

It was a good school. Small, but good.

They're not 8th anymore so it won't be Henry County.

I think Scott County is the 11th Region now.

Re: A perfect example of Kentucky basketball

One thing to take from the article is that only two states in basketball have not went to divisions based on the size of the schools. Kentucky and Delaware are the only two that have a free for all tournament, although Kentucky does have the All A Classic.

If a Hoosiers style story happens, this would be it.

As an aside, from another small world. When I met my wife she told me her dad was originally from a small town Kentucky that I probably never heard of. I said try me. She said it was Four-Mile Kentucky. I said yep I've been there. She couldn't believe it.

Elliot County will play West Carter for their district champioship. Win or lose they will be in the regionals.

Lone Jack was in Fourmile, yep. That was my grandparent's address. Would you mind telling me your father-in-law's last name? You could PM it to me if you like.

Re: A perfect example of Kentucky basketball

Elliot County won the 16th region and moves on to the state tournament. They play Anderson County in the 1st round.
For the 13th region folks like me,Corbin won that one. They pummeled South Laurel by about 40 points in the final. They play Eastern of Louisville in the 1st round.
