Last season has to factor into Harang's projected performance going forward.... Harang doesn't get an '08 mulligan because of Dusty. Last season is part of his performance history and it colors what to expect from him going forward.

That said, I think the argument is that you're dramatically over-correcting in response to last season.

Are you accusing Harang and Arroyo of giving up? Arroyo finished nicely last year after a terrible first half. Harang was used poorly and struggled with injury.

Lots of guys find the Lord after the All-Star break. I like true believers, hotheads, and long scoreless streaks.

Truth be told, I don't blame everything on the players, as I genuinely believe there is next to no pressure to actually perform as a Cincinnati Red.

Harang and Arroyo are the least of this teams problems. This offense is the number one concern I have going forward after the first two series.

So I guess his complete game shut out 4 starts ago doesn't count as a "great start"?

It was against the Cardinals, so should be even more so impressive.
