Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
Any predictions when we'll see Stubbs as a Red?

Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
Really, really bad so far this season. But it's early.
I don't figure Stubbs will see any time in the bigs before September and even that is pushing it. I'm guessing he spends another year patrolling CF for Louisville if Taveras continues to play like he has in the Queen City. (And, again, it's early and Patterson looked good for a week last season, too.) Stubbs will have to work to keep Heisey off his butt in AA. Dude can play.

If he doesn't make the team out of ST next year, it's Bust City baby!

Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
Picked 496 places after Stubbs in the 2006 draft, I think it's safe to say that Chris Heisey has a had a better pro career than Drew Stubbs.

Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
I've never been real high on Stubbs. I see him making the team the year after Taveras' contract is up and being a Dickerson like player with less Pop but more speed.

Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
If Stubbs doesn't make the team by next season, he will be overtaken by Chris Heisey. Hence Bust City.
If he does make the team and is a Dickerson-like player but worse, he will still be Bust City. Hopefully he exceeds both of these scenarios. I'd like to see him turn it around this year in Louisville and at least platoon in the Cincinnati CF by this time next year. Otherwise, he is Bust City.

Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
Statistically, yes, but that doesn't necessarily say anything about either's future in MLB. Stephen Smitherman had a much better start to his minor league career, too.

Re: The Official Drew Stubbs Thread
If Heisey has indeed passed Stubbs, and it is certainly arguable that he has, at least the reds lucked into hedging their bets in that draft...
