I notice both McDonald and Janish are in the lineup and also notice they have averages higher than the ones they are replacing. Should be interesting to see how this turns out.

Re: 4/20/09 - Reds vs Astros
Guys, hopefully the reds knock the astros back to whatever grungy part of the universe that they originally came from early and often. However, worst case scenario we get out of Houstan with a split.
Lets sit back and enjoy the game and while we're at it, lets let the mods enjoy it too....

On paper, I'd predict that this Reds lineup will have a tough time scoring.

On the other hand, the Astros really only have one tough lefty in the lineup for Arroyo to deal with...

Re: 4/20/09 - Reds vs Astros
Taveras tries to lay down a bunt...pops it up. I haven't been very impressed with his ability to lay down bunts. Seems pretty erratic with it
Grounds a single up the middle though. :O)

Hairston drives one to center but not deep enough. 1 down Votto up...

Re: 4/20/09 - Reds vs Astros
Hairston flys out to centerfield on a 3-1 pitch. One out.

Re: 4/20/09 - Reds vs Astros
Votto slaps an outside 0-2 pitch through for a base hit. Runners on first and second.

Re: 4/20/09 - Reds vs Astros
Brandon Phillips grounds to 2nd on the first pitch. Both runners advance. He's now 0 for his last 14 ab's.

Re: 4/20/09 - Reds vs Astros
BP quickly gets a "productive out", moving the runners to 2nd and 3rd.
