Re: 4/22/09 - Reds vs. Cubs

Cueto has settled down nicely. One run may be all he gets. The offense is really beyond dismal

Re: 4/22/09 - Reds vs. Cubs

I know that Cueto pinch ran at least once last season because I remember he scored the winning run on Paul Janish's walk off RBI single against the Marlins.

I remember him being used as a PR once last year (he scored the winning run), but it seemed like any other time after that, Bronson Arroyo was used as the PR (when Dusty dipped into the pitching staff for a runner).

Jerome Walton is the answer to the AFLAC question. I think.

Yep. Don't like his approach so far this year. Too many big swings, too pull-happy. He was extremely solid and consistent in his ABs last year, so this is disappointing, especially for a veteran.

Yeah, Jerome Walton is the answer. That one's a gimme.

Re: 4/22/09 - Reds vs. Cubs

By the way, Y. Alonoso has homered again tonight. I suspect that he is the missing clean-up hitter in this line-up. We are just September of this year or next before we get him...
