Hopefully Thompson pitches well enough to fetch Josh Willingham (or Lastings Milledge.)

Re: Monday 4/27/09 minor league updates
Well, it turns out I'm not going to the game after all.
![]() I can tell you now, the wind should be blowing out at a fairly brisk pace at Slugger Field tonight. Let's hope Daryl can keep it down. |

Re: Monday 4/27/09 minor league updates
Dayton rained out in South Bend. Dayton LHP Matt Fairel named MWL Pitcher of the Week today. Fairel struck out 12 in six innings on Tuesday and then eight over seven innings yesterday. He does not throw hard...87-89. He has been very successful at getting strikeouts with his fastball, mostly called third strikes when hitters are looking for the breaking ball away and he puts the fastball on the inside corner. One of the few bright lights for Dayton right now.
