Least Favorite Beer
I really enjoy reading through the favorite beer thread, so I thought I'd start one for our least favorite. Thought about calling it the worst beer, but that's too subjective and we all have different tastes.
I'll start off with my least favorite. Hands down, the absolute nastiest beer I've ever tasted. I normally like most of the cheaper nostalgic beers, but there is a reason why you can get Rhinelander 6-packs at the Liquor Barn for a total of $2.49 (up from $1.99 just a few months ago). Is there anyone here who has a liking for this swill?

Re: Least Favorite Beer
This thread is blasphemy, jimbo.
Though I did have some utter swill not long ago, just wish I could recall what it was called. Weirdly designed silver can is all I remember. I guess it was so awful, I successfully blocked it out of my mind. Which goes to show the beer couldn't have been too good for it to keep my subsconscious working. Hah. Re: Least Favorite Beer
Old Dutch hands down.
Got a case for $7 (long necks) at a dorm party at Ashland college. The stuff was sewage.

Re: Least Favorite Beer
There was a locally brewed beer in the Shenandoah Valley when I was in college called Break Beer. It went for $4 (four!) a case and tasted like liquid metallic fruitcake - repulsive. My friends bought 20-some cases, threw a party and as soon as the partygoers tasted the beer, they left. They had about 19 cases left over so they poured it down the dorm hall and did "beer slides" the rest of the night.
Ah, college. As for the name-brand beers, I find Coors Light disgusting.

Re: Least Favorite Beer
You think that is blasphemy, check out my answer - all of them.
Granted, I have not exactly tried a lot of varieties, but the few I tried just do not suit my taste buds. I just do not like beer, as un-American and un-manly as that may seem. I don't know why, but that' just the way it is, I guess. (I'm not much into any kind of alcohol, for that matter.) |

Re: Least Favorite Beer
Honestly, I could drink any beer you hand to me. There are some brands that I prefer over others and some that I typically don't buy but overall I can drink pretty much anything. Picking a least favorite would be awfully difficult.

Referring to your avatar, my friend and I bought a couple of cases of Old Style over the weekend in Lexington. We always buy some when we are down there. |

Re: Least Favorite Beer
I actually haven't had an Old Style in quite some time. It's on the "not my favorite but I'll drink it" list along with several others.

Re: Least Favorite Beer
Some of the best beer I've ever had and some of the worst beer I've ever had has been beer I've made myself. Nothing's worse than tasting a batch of beer you've spend the past month laboring over only to find out it's gone south.
Of the store-bought varieties, I've never been a fan of beers that use a lot of corn as a filler. I always associate Rolling Rock as a "corny" beer.
