Upcoming home series

So now that the dust has settled on a .500 west coast road trip, the Reds come home for nine games against the Phillies, Indians, and Astros. What would be an acceptable record for these home games for you?

I would be pleased with 6-3.

Re: Upcoming home series

Yeah i'd say 6-3.

Unfortunately this team has already hit the wall.

I was hoping they would still be on there high horse coming into the phillies series. Than we could see what this team is really made of. Unfortunately now were beat up and loss confidence in one series. I wouldnt be surprised for a disaster homestand to be honest.

I wonder if Cordero will get to pitch in this series.

If they don't go 9-0 I'm coming on here to gripe about it

I would really love a sweep of Houston and two wins against Philly and Cleveland

Re: Upcoming home series

If volquez makes his scheduled start i think its 5-4 only losing the series to Philly. If Volquez misses and we bring Homer up for 2, I think we lose to Houston as well, but the Indians series will be another coming out party for Homer.....just like his 1st career start.

Re: Upcoming home series

It would be acceptable if we could win one from Philly, and only lose one each to Cleveland and Houston, anything less would be considered FAIL IMO.
Houston and Cleveland are both terrible.
If we have any visions of grandeur you don't lose home series' to these types of teams.
The Phillies are a real solid team I just wish Volquez was going against them, he has OWNED them so far in his career.

I'd say 5-4 is a must for "acceptable". Anything over that is gravy. Anything less, FAIL.

PEACE

Re: Upcoming home series

I'd guess 5-4

lose 2/3 to philadelphia
take 2/3 from cleveland
take 2/3 from astros

my guess would be 5-4

Re: Upcoming home series

I'm not going to get to get too down on the Padres series. All the games were close, one ridiculously so, and with a couple breaks we could have won them all. No reason to exaggerate over one series on the West Coast where we do horrible and with our best player out.

With a decent umpire, the Redlegs win 2 games in San Diego!

Re: Upcoming home series

a winning homestand would be great considering they are facing hamels, lee, and oswalt in these 9 games.
