Garrett Atkins?

Does anyone else think the Reds might be interested in him? He is struggling big-time this year and maybe the Rockies would unload him for somewhat cheap.

I'm not a fan in general. Bad year last year followed by a slow start in 09 does not bode well for the 30 year old Atkins...

I brought him up in the find a RH bat thread awhile back but, I still like Ben Zobrist for a cheap pick up. Switch hitter and as long as you keep him out of SS or CF, he is average to slightly above average with a glove.

Zobrist is becoming a cult here down in Tampa, I don't think there's any way we could pry him away from Tampa. Prospects won't be all that enticing to a team that is loaded with them

Exactly right. I think Zobrist is a key guy on that team not an excess guy they are looking to peddle. They don't need prospects as much as they need Zobrist.
