Kroksi just doubled Cozart home, so Carolina is down 6-4 now.

Bats win and go 1 game over .500.

That's 3 in a row and 7 of their last 8

Columbus lost 5-4 and the Bats take the lead in the IL West by .5 game

Anyone else think that Drew Sutton should come up and replace Adam Rosales?

Re: Monday 6/8/09 Minor league Updates

The DSL Reds lost 9-5.

J. Arias: 2-for-4 walk
Baez: 2-for-3 two walks
Sanchez: 2-for-4 double, 3 RBI
B. Arias: 2-for-5

Lora: 3.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K

Luis Lora is 19 year old with a projectible 6-foot-4, 193 pound body. He could be worth keeping an eye on.

From the summary, the ejections of Heisey and Bell seemed to follow a play in which runners scored from 2nd and 3rd on a sac fly to center. IIRC, this is Heisey's second ejection in less than a month....gotta love that competitiveness.

Also, with Carlos Fisher in the majors, Enerio del Rosario is becoming my favorite future middle reliever. Tonight he got six outs, five ground outs and a K. His GO/AO ratio is over 3.5.

wohhhhh... the devout Christian Chris Heisey who never drinks, smokes or curses is getting thrown out of games? Was not expecting to hear that. But I like it!

Why is he getting thrown out? Too many gosh-darnits? ;-)

Apparently is was raining pretty good and he was arguing that the game should be delayed. Earlier in the game there was a gathering of the two teams on the field and the umps tried to keep things calm and tossed Heisey when he started arguing.

He probably got tossed by some AAAA low ceiling minor league umpire.

When Chris Heisey gets tossed, it's competitiveness. When Milton Bradley gets tossed, it's a bad attitude.
