Re: Official 2009 MLB draft thread (day one)

Jim Callis says the first 8 picks are fairly locked in (according to him and John Manuel):

1. Strasburg
2. Ackley
3. Tate
4. Sanchez
5. Hobgoblin
6. Wheeler
7. Minor
8. Alex White

Re: Official 2009 MLB draft thread (day one)

I'm holding out hope that the Reds take Hobgoblin at 8.

He would look so cool in a Reds uniform.

I dunno, Doctor Octopus has six arms which he could use to throw the ball. Imagine the deception he'd have!

Re: Official 2009 MLB draft thread (day one)

Also, please don't create 5 pages of everyone saying "Reds select So-and-So".

I nominate OBM as the guy to announce, seeing as this is his thread

Re: Official 2009 MLB draft thread (day one)

Heres the link to the draft tracker:
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/draft/...raftcaster.jsp

They usually give you the info on the draft pick including a video.
