Dayton off to a rough start. Janke hits the leadoff guy on an 0-2 pitch. Pick off attempt goes wide, runner gets to 2nd. Next pitch the runner steals 3rd without a throw. Wild pitch leads to him scoring.

Doug what do you think of Janke, I have not followed him very much at all. What does he throw and what are his long term prospects. He has put up some nice numbers.

Re: Sunday 6/21/09 Minor League Updates

Huntsville beat Birmingham and Carolina is down 6-3 in the 5th. Today is the last day of the split season. It's do or die for the Mudcats.

Henry, Castro, Parker and Denove all have doubles. The pitching has not been good.

Code:
Player	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
Smit A 1.1	4	4	4	2	3	2	3.89
Watson 2.2	4	2	2	0	4	2	3.46

Louisville leads 2-0 in the 6th. Edwin Encarnacion is playing 3rd. He is 0 for 2 with a walk.

Ramirez pitching well

Code:
Player IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
Ramirez 6.0	3	0	0	1	3	0	4.14
Stubbs hitless again

Re: Sunday 6/21/09 Minor League Updates

I've got to stop saying anybody is pitching well

Code:
Player IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
Ramirez 6.0	4	2	2	2	3	0	4.40
Viola allowed the runs, The first inherited runners he's allowed this year.

He allowed one of his own too. Bats down 3-2

Smit didn't make it through the second inning?

It will be interesting to see how Smit, Dallas Buck, James Avery and Daryl Thompson perform in the second half of the season. My guess is only two of them will be joining Stewart, Wood and Smith in next year's AAA rotation.

Eymann and Denove both single to start the Mudcats 9th. They need 3 to tie.

Castro with a two out single. 8-6 with Heisey coming up.

edit: Heisey finishes 0 for 4 and the Mudcats lose 8-6.

The Huntsville Stars take the 1st half division title.
