First thing that came to my mind was Travis Wood getting a promotion.

Sorry, I am slow on the uptake today (and most days), but what position does Wiley play?

First thing that came to mind was that the pitchers would be required to throw with their other arm to rest their primary arm and to see if the team could develop any ambidextrous relievers. Then it hit me that that was unlikely. You are hopefully closer to the mark.

Yep, judging from the radar there's probably another hour and a half of rain still to come out in the Lou. That field is gonna be soaked.

Great news. Thought for some reason he was a 1b. I am all for continued depth and prospects in the system in the OF.

Is he the guy Votto worked with when Votto was in the minors rehabbing?
If so do you know what his numbers have been since then?

Yeah he's the guy. In his last 10 games he is hitting .343 with 5 HR's and 12 RBI's, and 7 Walks to boot. 2 steals as well. Not sure exactly when Votto left him in the minors, but he's been hot lately.

Jim Krebs, a 24-year-old lefty reliever for Sarasota, has had a very nice season. Anybody know anything about him?

Interesting standings in the Florida State League South. At 8-9, Sarasota's in a 5-way tie for first.

GCL boys are also tied for first, having won 7 in a row.

Billings, not so much.

Re: Minor League Game Updates - Sunday, July 12

Update at 3:45 p.m (CT).: Still raining and the radar shows rain as far away as 90 miles from here. It seems like MLB wants this game to be played, so we’re going to be here for a long time it would seem.
