Re: Homer talks about tonights game.

Sounded like a decent interview, He really didn't seem concerned with himself and more about the team winning and losing which I always love to hear. Didn't make any excuses as far as runs that he didn't let in, sounded pretty mature overall to me.

Re: Homer talks about tonights game.

I think Homer is finally starting to realize that if he wants a career in the Majors, his time to step up is right now. He's likely to have a spot in the rotation for the rest of the year, its time to prove he was worthy of being picked in the first round. (if I were running the team he would no matter what anyways, lets see what the kid has) But with teh Dusty at the helm, who the hell knows.

Re: Homer talks about tonights game.

I think Homer's starting to grow up and showing some very promising signs. This is why I've been so adamant about not bailing on a really good young arm after so little big league experience. My friends were calling for this guy to be traded (for anything in return) last year with only a handful of major league starts under his belts. Just crazy. The MLB history books are littered with successful starters who struggled through a year or two before hitting their strides.

I agree with everything being said. One thing that I'll add is that for some reason I really feel like he'll bounce back from this start. In the past it seemed like one rough outing really would derail Homer.I guess we''ll see.

The line looked a lot worse than he did imo.
Massett gave up 3 of his runs, and a ball hit on the warning track that looked like it may have been caught had Gomes not been in RF. Not trying to make excuses, just saying it kinda seemed like a fluke outing to me. Plus thats the 3rd really solid offense he's faced in a row, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee.
