Though I'm sure Bowden's stamp on the organization will be felt for a while, this seems to me like nothing more than organizational fodder.

A few weeks ago we sent him there for Corky Miller, to have an extra catcher in the minors. (Some people even thought we gave up too much for Corky, but that was before we knew Hernandez was hurt. I'm guessing the move was made with Ramon's injury in mind.)

Not sure why Bowden felt like he could win in Washington D.C. with the same players he couldn't win with in Cincinnati. Now he's gone but his theory lives on in the nation's capital.
