Cordero question
Cocoa would clear waivers wouldn't he? Brad Lidge leads the majors in blown saves. You would have to think that Philly would have some interest right? I'd send him for whatever they can get for him if Philly will take on his contract.

That would make way too much sense. I gave up a long time ago trying to figure out what in the world the Reds front office/ownership was trying to do to build a competitive ballclub.
Surely a team who has been just about irrelevant for the last 20 years wouldn't see value in paying a 3-inning pitcher $25 million over the next 2 years.... ....would they? Of course, they're the same ballclub that just committed $11 million next year to a 35 year-old 3rd baseman. So I guess anything is possible. Scott Rolen = the missing piece of the puzzle. /sigh
