Re: Wed August 26 - Minor League Updates
he had 3 passed balls the other night and has like 16 on the year!! i thought he was supposed to be pretty polished defensively, so hopefully he is just getting acclimated to pro ball and will be better next year in dayton.

Gregorius was removed in the 1st inning. Let's hope he isn't hurt.

16? Wow... That's ungodly bad. Especially for someone who caught Alex White who struck me as a bit wild... Any way to find out how many he had in college this year?

Brian Pearl gets the save and Billings holds on, 6-5. Two singles for Yorman.

Re: Wed August 26 - Minor League Updates
The GCL Reds lost the completed game, 2-0, with Jesus Adames pitching the whole thing. But they won the regular one, 1-0, on a 2-hitter by Daniel Tuttle and Marcos Molina. Tuttle went five innings and gave up both hits, striking out five, with one walk. His ERA is now 1.84.

Anybody looked at what other catchers in the league have done? Lights may be a factor. I've not been to those parks but I've been in some pretty dim Rookie league parks. Worth remembering too he'd never seen any of the pitchers before. I don't think I'd draw too many conclusions from the PB's. |
