8/31/09 - Reds vs. Pirates - Game 2

Reds can win 2 games in one day! That's more than we've won in a lot of weeks!

Stubbs CF
Janish SS
Votto 1B
Phillips 2B
Rolen 3B
Gomes RF
McDonald LF
Miller C
Cueto P

Cueto gave up a 2 out double to Jones but comes back to K Doumit. 2 K's, no runs.

Yet another hit for Stubbs.

Janish with a fantastic at-bat. Goes to 3-2 and he doubles down the left field line to score Stubbs. 1-0 Reds.

Janish advances to 3rd on a Votto GO and scores on a BP single. 2-0 Reds.

Rolen singles and BP goes to 2nd. 2 on, 1 out.

Re: 8/31/09 - Reds vs. Pirates - Game 2

Stubbs has played well so far, following a pattern wherein he does well early at each level. Good to see. Hope he continues to play like this. He certainly adds an element of adequacy-- offensively and defensively-- not seen since... Cameron roamed CF for the Reds?

He certainly looks like Cameron out there. His range is ridiculous and his arm is well above average. He can steal 50 bases right now on speed alone.

The only question is his bat.

Gomes with a ground ruled double. BP scores and Rolen to third. 3-0 Reds.

Old McDonald ends the consecutive hits. E-I-E-I-K. 2 out.

Corky walks, bases juiced for Cueto.

The guys in the dugout had some good laughs at poor Cueto's expense during that part of his at bat, LOL

Johnny looks pretty good tonight. That's nice to see from him.
