Chapman start 4-22-10
I will be sitting behind the plate for Chapman's start in Indy. I am very excited and will give my impressions of him after the game.

Re: Chapman start 4-22-10
Best part is, if the NFL draft runs at its normal pace, I'll still get home 6 hours before the Colts make their selection.

Re: Chapman start 4-22-10
I'll be there as well, I'm pretty excited to see him pitch. I'm glad it worked out to where he would pitch in Indy, although i'm not sure how it worked. He pitched last Friday, and there were no off days, so do the Bats go on a 6 man pitching schedule? Or did they just decide to push him back a start?

And no matter what, he was bound to pitch in Indy... It's a 5 game series.

Today is Earth Day but I am thinking with Chapman going to the mound tonight it should be promoted as "Scorch the Earth Day".

Probably doesn't deserve a thread of it's own, and I'm not sure if it's been posted or not.

Re: Chapman start 4-22-10
Chapman is not ready to pitch at the MLB level. He was basically all over the place the first two innings throwing probably 45 to 50 pitches and going full count on nearly every hitter. I think he ended up striking out 8 and walking at least 5 or 6. There were two or three hard hit balls off him and honestly there were only 3 or 4 swings and misses against him.

Re: Chapman start 4-22-10
No, he's not ready for the majors. But it's pretty impressive when a guy goes 5 1/3 strikes out 8, gives up 0 earned runs and everyone goes meh.
If his name was not Chapman people would be begging the Reds to bring him up.
