Favorite non-Reds in baseball
Been a while since I think since we've had this thread. List some of your favorite players in the MLB who aren't on our team, or guys you just root for, for one reason or another. Feel free to include former Reds though.
For me: Zack Grienke Huston Street Chipper Jones Clay Zevada Ricky Romero Vladimir Guerrero Ichiro Cliff Lee Ryan Rowland-Smith Evan Longoria Justin Duchscherer Adam Dunn Ryan Braun (probably the only in-division guy on my list, he's just too damn good) Josh Willingham Michael Cuddyer Jeremy Guthrie (I started rooting for the guy when he was struggling with the Indians, and I was disapointed we didn't pick him up when the Orioles did) Adrian Gonzalez Chris Young (Padres)

That's an amazing statement." |

Re: Favorite non-Reds in baseball
Pujols (real stretch here, but I picked him up as a waiver claim in my fantasy keeper league when he was in A-ball, and he's anchored my team ever since)
I'm a pretty big Rockies fan and Carlos Gonzalez is going to be a superstar. He basically does everything well. Ubaldo Jimenez is getting some national pub from his no-hitter, but he's always been easy to root for. Favorite to watch: Ichiro, Torii Hunter

Re: Favorite non-Reds in baseball
Hmm, I tend to like guys for different reasons so I'll just list guys who aren't obvious types. But besides these guys I tend to like the guys who seemingly do everything gracefully (Larkin, Roberto Alomar Jr., Josh Hamilton, Ichiro are the best examples) and/or the classy hardworking blue collar stars (Ripken, Utley, Jeter, O-Dog, Ryan Zimmerman etc). Just a few off the top of my head.
Kevin Millar (that guy would be a blast to hang out with) Jeremy Affeldt (has a great sense of humor) Craig Counsell (the guy is just a gamer and tends to play above his head always)
