Re: I thought Cueto was pitching tonight?
* As for Cueto not starting, Baker said it was a miscommunication with Rob Butcher and the media relations staff, that was the plan all along. Cueto's been throwing a lot of pitches, so they figured he could use the extra day off. With the day off, Arroyo's on regular rest.
"He'd been throwing a lot of pitches," Baker said. "I guess everybody knew it other than you guys and the Padres." Cueto said it had been told to him a while ago. "I'm fine," he said.

Good move Dusty, get our best pitchers in as much as possible, and give extra rest to the ones laboring. I like it.

Re: I thought Cueto was pitching tonight?
stubbs down at 7 is also great, and with hanigan and bronson 8 and 9, that's the best 8-9 you can expect in terms of making the other pitcher work throughout the lineup.

Re: I thought Cueto was pitching tonight?
Does any of this have anything to do with Walt's visit the other night?
