Reds don't think it is a tight zone as they are swinging away.

Strike one on Heisey was the exact same pitch Homer didn't get. I know i'm in the minority, but I really dislike the "human element" when it comes to calling balls and strikes.

I was thinking the same thing. I can live with a tight zone...and inconsistent one though....grrrrrrrrr.

That was a quick inning. Hanigan flies out to center as Crowe and Choo run into each other. 2-2 mid 2nd.

Indians try to form a platoon the hard way...slamming two OF'ers together to see if they stick.

Huff doesn't seem to be having similar struggles....

No, he's not. And that's the problem. It's not an even strike zone.

Why would Huff get the edges and Homer not?

Re: 5/23/10 Reds @ Indians - It's just another game
Because the ump has an inconsistent zone. Thus my complaint. Small zone is fine...uneven is another thing.

Because umpires aren't perfect and particularly struggle on the outside corners? It doesn't have to a plot.

what you're alleging is pretty consistent though.

Oh, sorry. I wasn't trying to imply that the ump was doing it on purpose.
