Lincoln and Fisher should be gone by tomorrow. The only slight problem is the limited options in AAA

I think Lincoln is awful but he has been decent this year

It sounds like Burton has been pitching well for AAA so I bet he gets brought up tomorrow. Glad to hear Joey should be back tomorrow!

If Burton really has been pitching well then ship out both Lincoln and Fisher and bring up Burton and Del Rosario.

This bullpen is going to be a big problem if The Reds don't do something about it. 1st place teams can't be carrying multiple 7+ ERA relievers on their team. And if they do, they don't stay in 1st place for long.

Del Rosario cannot be bought back up for another 7 days. Just an FYI

He has a 7.32 ERA and 1.78 WHIP.

Burton has been pretty good, but then again, it's only been 5 innings worth of work. Still, he has got to be better than Fisher has been. I'd also like to see Del Rosario replace Lincoln. Doesn't sound like the Reds are rushing to do that though.

Burton probably needs more work at AAA, five innings is likely insufficient. Del Rosario can't come back yet since he must stay in the minors for ten days and was just sent out.

The Reds have limited options. They didn't address the pen this off-season.

Probably won't happen but I'd bring up Maloney and probably Chapman and use them in the Reds bullpen for awhile. They are the most likely to be effective.

Another option is to use LeCure in the pen once Bailey comes back.

These starters are the strength of the AAA team. I would use them out of the major league bullpen for awhile and see how they do.

I wasn't suggesting they DFA Lincoln this second, but rather, when Del Rosario is eligible to come back. I think I'd rather have a rusty Burton than a regular Fisher at this point.
