A note:

Jacksonville's Mike Stanton went 3-5 in his major league debut with the Marlins. This guy was a huge bat in the Southern League. Glad they decided to call him up.

Another excellent start by Wood. 5 in a row... Always seems when he does have a bad start it's one big inning that does him in.

Very glad to see Wood regaining form. He could be a valuable trading chip or at worst, a guy to rely on if someone goes down.

Re: Thursday, June 10, 2010 Minor League Updates

Cozart just picked up his 4th error of the year. According to Matt Andrews the scorer's decision was a raw deal. Still, only his 4th error in 61 games.

Baez gave up a solo HR in the 8th. Jukich in to mop up.

The DSL Reds one-hit the DSL Twins. Eliezer Beard gave up the lone hit over six innings. Felix Perez was 1-for-4 with a walk, strikeout, and an RBI. He's literally a man amongst boys.

Beard is a big (6-4, 202) righthander who just turned 19.

The Twins made 12 errors in the game. Never heard of anything like that in a professional game.
