Re: Cards have lost 6 of 7
I did notice that every team in the Central lost today and the Cubs are tied at 0 right now in their night game.

Man, if the Reds can just hang in there until July 4th! Three weeks from today could see Volquez, Bray, and Burton arrive....talk about some much needed bull pen relief! And...WHAT IF....Chapman is ready??? Three weeks Reds fans.....3 weeks.

According to Doc Rodgers, Chapman is not ready and the only scenario we will see him brought up is if were completely out of it.

I know it's easy to say what if's. But, man, those first game's against both the Giants and Royals were so winnable. You win those and your 12 games over .500, 3 1/2 games up and loving life right now.

I'm just happy they're still up 1 1/2 the way they've been playing. The upcoming West Coast trip should be telling, I really hope it's a different story than past teams, and I have a good feeling about this team, and their desire to win translating well on the west coast.

Re: Cards have lost 6 of 7
Most boring postgame talk show host i've ever heard. I love listening to sports talk, and seriously don't even enjoy listening to him, all it's ever about is what he used to do as a minor league player, and when he worked in the organization, along with how he will hire a pitching coach and pay him more than a manager if he ever becomes a GM. It's more like an autobiography than a sports talk show.

Re: Cards have lost 6 of 7
Yes , Cards are 6 of 7 because they stink! The worst hitting and fielding middle infield in all of baseball, the worst #4 hitter in all of baseball. The worst manager in all of baseball. The worst batting coach in all of baseball and and a FRANCHISE player in Pujols that amazingly at the peak age of 30 is having his worst year (and it's a contract year!)
They let their #3 starter (Pinero) go to make room for the BUST that is Matt Holliday. The guy has exactly 1 HR in Busch Stadium this year. They have 2 starters on the DL and a "specialist" LH reliever with a 56.00 ERA in his last 3 appearances. And last nite LaRussa benched Ryan Ludwick, the best hitter in the major leagues with RISP in favor of Randy Winn....the L/R thing, you know. I will say again that this Central is for the Reds to lose. There is NO team that can challenge......book it, Dano! |

It'll be very interesting to see if Duncan can turn Suppan around. As much as I hate to hear myself say it, I bet he will. This would be a huge boost for that rotation.

Re: Cards have lost 6 of 7
Both teams have cooled from where they were just a few weeks ago. But I didn't expect the Cards to get swept by arizona.
